At what age is a normal child no longer at risk for regressing and being diagnosed with autism?

I’m just wondering as a parent, if my child is developing perfectly normal and on schedule, I realize that there is still the medical ability for her to suddenly stop progressing and instead begin to regress. I would just like to know, does anyone know what age that line is drawn in the sand? Are you safe at 3,4,5,6?

I ask because of the family genetics and I’d like to know when I can put my fears at rest.

risk of autism with a family history and autoimmune disorder?

My sister has Asperger’s and a nuromuscular disorder, my other sister has Graves Disease, my mom has IBS and my grandma had 2 autoimmune disorders. My husband and I want to start a family. What are the odds that my child would have autism?

Autism…and shots…which one?

is a risk for children getting autism? I know their are people out their that don’t think its possible to happen, but I don’t want it on my baby either. Also what do you guys feel about 1, 2 month olds getting a hepatitis b shot? My sister in law is going no shots at all for her baby, not me. But she said I shouldn’t get my 8weeks old the hep b shot because she is not sexually active, what do you think? If I don’t get it for her now when do I get it for her? How long does the HEP B shot last in a person system? I mean if it doesn’t stay in their system till their teenage years why not get it then instead of now? I hope I didn’t offend anyone but Im not sure what shots to get or whats necessary right now. She is 8weeks old…thanks in advance to all :)

What are the symptoms of autism?

I’m 14 years old, and a couple days ago at school one of my friends brought up how their cousin has trouble communicating since he has autism. Can anybody tell me what the symptoms of autism are, and how it can be treated? (If it can be treated.) Thanks.

Autism Signs?

I have a 4 year old cousin named John. We have a big family and I have my own obligations so I don’t get to see them alot, and the last time I saw John was when he was 2. I think he may be showing some signs of autism. But his mother is very young and likes to go out so I don’t think she is catching or wanting to catch anything. He is barely talking he can say obvious things like "mom and dad" but beyond that it varies pretty quick. He doesn’t like being around other children that much either, only our other little cousin that is around his age. Are those signs of autism? What are some other signs? What kind of Doctor should I suggest that he see?

MITOCHONDRIAL DYSFUNCTION, VACCINES AND AUTISM: 1 in 50 Children Could Be at Risk How should the CDC spin this

WILL THE GOVERNMENT CURB AN OVERLY AGGRESSIVE VACCINATION SCHEDULE TO COMBAT RISING AUTISM RATES?
Of utmost significance are the following points:

– Up to 1 in 50 children (2%) may be at risk for mitochondrial dysfunction.

– Thimerosal, mercury, aluminum, pollution, pesticides, medicines and prenatal alcohol exposure have all been shown to damage mitochondria.

– Up to 20% of all children with autism may have underlying mitochondrial dysfunction.

– The CDC is aware of this situation and is immediately taking measures to address the current national vaccine schedule.

– The genetic susceptibility for mitochondrial dysfunction is not rare.

– This DNA mutation alone may not be enough to confer cellular dysfunction; doctors believe there is an environmental trigger as well.

– Children with mitochondrial dysfunction are more likely to regress into autism following a fever and illness from viral infections or a vaccine reaction.
